“Contact and Beyond: Dance Improvisation Practice Space”

A chance for those with or without dance experience to immerse themselves in a practice of silent dance improvisation. With gentle guidance from facilitator and experienced dance educator Kristen Lewis, dancers of all ages (you are never too old to learn to dance your freedom!), dancers are supported in learning to trust the supportive embrace of silence to bring us into the deep simplicity of communion with self, other, and space. This is a place for free expression, for profound kindness towards self and other, and for reverence for the humble mysteries of the body as sacred vessel.

For more about the facilitator Kristen Lewis, see:

Fee: $15-25, sliding scale.

FULL SNOW MOON Ecstatic Dance & Sound Healing in the Sanctuary,

Luna & I met at Rad Cafe on the full moon in November. They were sharing gutsy, vulnerable poems and I was sharing an Indo-fusion & eclectic ecstatic dance wave that had everyone letting loose and sweating. When the evening ended we were all invited to tie ceremonial red string bracelets around each other’s wrists, to symbolize connection and our intentions moving forward toward the next full moon. Luna and I tied each other’s and shared a hug.

Earlier in the evening we had chatted about their sound healing and yoga work and some collaborating in future so I am thrilled to announce that, this coming full moon, the Snow Moon– just three months after that chat– Luna & I are collaborating on this beautiful full moon offering we are so excited to share with you! You are warmly welcomed to step in and co-create some movement and sound medicine with us.
