Sunday December 8 2:00 pm –4:30 pm
J.Krishnamurti in Beyond Myth and Tradition series with Evelyne Blau. Free DVD showing, dialogue.

J. Krishnamurti, a 20th century philosopher and educator, who has written and lectured extensively on relevant subjects such as love, truth, and meditation, differed from his contemporaries in his unique ability to tackle his subject matter with such honesty and insight, that those, who applied his perspective in their lives have begun to see the world around them as it truly is. We can listen to him and each other tackle some of the most relevant topics for our times.

The hope is that even for a couple of hours a month, we will have an opportunity to take a break from the mundane and to address the most pressing issues of our times through dialogue. This type of discussion is seen by some as purposeful awareness of the goings on of the mind, while a chosen topic is being looked at. This allows us to listen to others and observe ourselves in the process of discovering each subject anew and with clarity, as though encountering it for the first time. Thus, this is an invitation to learn about ourselves and to summon the courage to act on our new discoveries.

Chakradance-9 week Awakening Series- with Ocian Flo

CHAKRADANCE is offered HERE for the first time ever in CANADA! It is a dance practice for body and soul. It’s a powerful experience that will free and energize you.

CHAKRADANCE is unique because it’s a cross between dynamic meditation and dance. It’s not about steps or performance; you dance with your eyes closed in a darkened room. It’s more like a dynamic, moving meditation. It’s completely about freedom of expression; there is no right way to CHAKRADANCE as everyone has his or her own rhythm and movement. With its roots in Jungian psychology, CHAKRADANCE encourages people to dance for self-discovery and self-healing. It requires you to participate physically, emotionally, intellectually AND spiritually.

CHAKRADANCE is a cardio workout that gets everything moving from your face to your feet. It really gets your heart pumping; releasing endorphins to make you feel great. For those who are looking for a more spiritual connection, each workshop is designed to work a different chakra. There are seven main chakras; these centers of energy may be under or over active. Balancing them leads to many benefits, including better relationships, improved confidence and self-esteem, emotional health, enhanced creativity, and heightened inspiration and clarity. But the biggest benefit of all is the absolute freedom to be yourself!

Information/Registration: www.chakradance.com Questions: 778.977.2279
Send: ocianflo@gmail.com online deposit of $111 to reserve your space. Final (cash only) payment of $222 at Introduction Dance on Nov. 4, 2013.
Total Investment: $333 including (1) one-on-one reiki/sound session at time of your choice.

Satsang with Sharon Landrith,

Sharon Landrith has a devotion and great love of the Truth. She is a gifted intuitive, and a spiritual teacher in the lineage of Adyashanti. She met her beloved teacher, Adyashanti at a conference in 2000.Three years later after a series of awakenings to the fundamental reality, Adya asked her to teach and guide those genuinely drawn to the path of Truth. Since then she continues to deepen into and embody this Truth herself. She invites you to “come home…” to That which you have always been. In her presence you’ll taste a palpable expression of Love and intimacy that allows you to feel safe, dropping into the deep vulnerability required to know yourself as the All. Sharon offers support for the required shift of identity that is both direct and tailored to each person’s journey.

Satsangs offer a time of silence and investigation of the awakened life.

Each Satsang begins with a period of Silence sitting together and is followed by a short talk and a Guided meditation. There will be time offered for questions and exploration of spiritual awakening and living an awakened life.

Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to settle in.

Evening Satsing with Kirsten, Erik and Laura

“Satsing” is a playful twist on the Sanksrit word, “satsang” meaning “in the company of the Highest Truth.”

Music is a pathway to God. Whether we play an instrument, sing, or just listen with a heart wide open, it is a way of becoming one with the experience and losing awareness of everything else – including all sense of a separate self. No wonder we love music so much!

Inspired by the deep teaching of A Course in Miracles and David Hoffmeister, the essence of our ‘Satsing Music Tour’ is the Presence – the experience of God beyond words.

Suggested donation: $20

To register please contact: Janeen ph 778-440-3481 or jmsam2007@gmail.com

There is a profound shift taking place on our planet. Life is speeding up faster than we have ever experienced. Most of us are feeling on-going anxiety and stress that comes from daily obligations and commitments.

That is why it is essential to practice daily self-care in order to fill the well and replenish ourselves.

Reminding ourselves that we are human BE-ings, and NOT human DO-ings

June 1st is a day of honouring ourselves in a sacred circle with others on this pilgrimage inward.

Sunday June 9 2:00 pm ? 4:30 pm
J.Krishnamurti in Beyond Myth and Tradition series with Evelyne Blau: Freedom and Authority. Free DVD showing, dialogue, refreshments by Aleyona.

J. Krishnamurti, a 20th century philosopher and educator, who has written and lectured extensively on relevant subjects such as love, truth, and meditation, differed from his contemporaries in his unique ability to tackle his subject matter with such honesty and insight, that those, who applied his perspective in their lives have begun to see the world around them as it truly were. We can listen to him and each other tackle some of these most relevant topics for our times.

The hope is that even for a couple of hours a month, we will have an opportunity to take a break from the mundane and to address the most pressing issues of our times through dialogue. This type of discussion is seen by some as purposeful awareness of the goings on of the mind, while a chosen topic is being looked at. This allows us to listen to others and observe ourselves in the process of discovering each subject anew and with clarity, as though encountering it with first time. Thus, this is an invitation to learn about ourselves and to summon the courage to act on our new discoveries.

Indian Classical Music Concert Featuring Steve Oda On Sarode And Niel Golden On Tabla

Two old friends re-unite for a concert of Indian Classical music in Victoria. Niel Golden and Steve Oda have played music together since the 1980’s. The Victoria audience will experience an evening of transformative music. Arising from the ancient yoga tradition, Nada Yoga, this deeply moving music will elicit and stir your emotions. Steve has been blessed with many opportunities to perform internationally as well as record extensively with many of the world’s outstanding Indian classical musicians. In 1996 after receiving a prestigious Canada Council Artist’s Grant, Steve moved from Canada to the San Francisco Bay area to pursue intensive studies with Ali Akbar Khan. Holotropic Breathwork Workshop
with Renn Butler $115 sliding scale available

Holotropic Breathwork™ is a technique of self-exploration that utilizes the healing power of deep breathing, evocative music, focused bodywork, and mandala drawing to enter holotropic “moving toward wholeness” states of consciousness. Following in the tradition of the shamanic practices, rites of passage and mystery religions of ancient cultures, we create a supportive and caring space in which participants’ own inner healer can select the most relevant material and bring it up for processing. These sessions are helpful for people seeking relief from physical tension or emotional pain, an opening of creative channels, or a deepened connection with the inner Divine.

Renn Butler has a B.A. in English and Religious Studies and lived at the Esalen Institute in California for 2½ years. He was trained in transpersonal psychology and Holotropic Breathwork by Stan and Christina Grof and certified as a facilitator in 1989. David says…The Singing Soul is a creative and powerful way of improvised music making and of being alive in the world. Join in and raise your voice in joyous a cappella grooves of our own making. Experience both non-conventional and conventional uses of the human voice in the co-creation of authentic musical expressions of the moment. WE are the instruments in a musical journey of spontaneous self-expression and collaboration with others. The Singing Soul is spontaneous, in-the-moment singing; the unveiling of our very uniqueness in melody, harmony, and rhythm…our stories, in words, and beyond them. By turns edgy, hilarious, challenging, and deeply moving, each moment is an original composition that is unrehearsed, precious, and irreplaceable. And as fate would have it, it’s also profoundly fun! There are no wrong notes and there’s nothing to memorize, just breathe and sing….ahh.
